First off, US 169B goes straight as well as to the left. Also, there should be a straight-ahead arrow under the US 59/K-31 assembly. This gaff stems from a temporary closure of US 59, which someone forgot to change back. Also, note the sign on the right and compare to This Photo.31 May 2012

Grading continues on a temporary shoo-fly detour connecting US 59 with the new frontage road.
Here's a shot of three different bridges. The first one is the Atchison Rail Bridge, which also happens to be a swing bridge (and is in the "open" position for river traffic today. The middle bridge is the current Amelia Earhart bridge carrying US 59 over the Missouri River. The Arch bridge in the back is the new Earhart bridge, which remains under construction. 20 June 2012
